Classification

The 10 digit PRODTR List used in classifying the products is a national classification derived from 8 digit PRODCOM List of Eurostat by adding 2 digits for additional detail. The first 6 digits of PRODTR List is called CPA level. In order to present users aggregate level of product data, the CPA classification has also been used along with 10 digit level.

The Main Industrial Groupings, abbreviated as MIGs whose legal basis is EU Commission Regulation 656/2007, is an aggregation that could be attained by re-grouping the NACE Rev.2 headings.

The Technology Levels is an aggregation that could be attained by re-grouping the NACE Rev.2 headings as follows:

High Technology : 21+ 26+ 30.3

Medium-High Technology : 20+ 25.4+ 27+28+29+30-30.1-30.3+32.5

Medium-Low Technology:18.2+19+22+23+24+25-25.4+30.1+33

Low Technology :10+11+12+13+14+15+16+17+18-18.2+31+32-32.5
